Juanita Richardson

In this podcast Dennie Heye interviews SLA candidate for president elect Juanita Richardson.

Juanita is principal of Richardson Jalakas & Associates, an information strategy company she founded in 1998, and a partner with Dysart Jones & Associates as an associate consultant. In addition to consulting, she teaches at Seneca College in the Library and Information Technician Program and at the University of Toronto’s iSchool Institute.

In this interviews she talks about the plans and ideas she has for SLA, and explains her motto: “Pay it forward”.

    I like the idea of partnering with LIS programs and iSchools on research or disseminating research. Could we ask professors/researchers to present at the conference or through webinars? If that is something that would be valuable, how do we locate those who are doing research that would be of interest to SLA members?
