Information silos (self-contained units with little communication or interaction) are too common in even small organizations and plague large businesses and agencies. If employees are either punished, ignored, or not rewarded for taking the time to check in, communicate, and collaborate, why should they bother? Are there specific actions that workplace leaders can take to improve idea exchange?

Speaker
Pat Wagner has been a trainer and consultant for libraries since 1978. She is a frequent speaker at national library conferences and SLA, AALL, and MLA chapter meetings around the US and Canada. She is known for her practical and good-humored programs.
