Bethan Ruddock, co-chair of the Early Career Committee said “The Awards are very important to SLA Europe, and the wider SLA, as a way to connect with students and early career professionals. As a former award-winner, I cannnot emphasise enough how valuable this has been for my career. I am delighted that I now have the chance to work with the SLA Europe board to promote these fantastic opportunities.”

Philip Gatzke, one of the 2010 award winners, said “I am happy and grateful that I got the opportunity to attend the SLA Conference 2010, to meet wonderful people and to visit New Orleans. It was an amazing experience. I really can encourage everybody to apply for this award or to attend one of the SLA conferences. It is really worth it!”.
