Comité des événements

The Events Committee organises various webinars, talks from guest speakers and experts, graduate career days, networking and informal social events, often in collaboration with other information and library organisations.

Andrew Grave
Président événements

Andrew Grave currently provides training and support to corporate information teams, as well as help information professionals add value to their research and training non-information professionals on information literacy topics. He began his information career at the business support agency Business Link in London, then moved on to join the UK’s sixth largest accountancy firm, BDO, où il a travaillé pour 11 ans.

Andrew also runs popular public and in-house courses on analysing companies, marchés, and understanding company accounts.

Simon Burton

Simon Burton is the Managing Director and Co-Founder of CB Resourcing, a leading knowledge & information management recruitment business.

Simon's work with SLA Europe includes working with commercial partners as well as the 2019 Presidency.

Cathrine Hertz-Søndergård
Events Committee Member

Cathrine has experience of working in academic libraries and law firms in both Denmark and the UK and is currently located in London. She holds an MSc in Library and Information Science from The Royal School of Library and Information Science, Copenhagen. She has previously written about the 2019 Summer Networking Drinks event.

Megan Prix
Newsletter Editor / International Representative

Megan Price is the founder ofSUIVI, a consulting and language coaching company, and is currently the Professional Support Officer at the International Federation of Library Associations and Organisations (IFLA).

She holds degrees in Education from CSU East Bay, San Francisco State University and the California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, and her MLIS from San Jose State University.

She currently divides her time between The Hague and the Basque Country of France.

Leanne Common
Events Committee Member

Leanne is a Knowledge and Information Officer at Slaughter and May, and has over ten years’ experience in legal and government libraries. She specialises in research, formation, et la gestion des connaissances.

She graduated from Aberystwyth University in 2009 with an MSc in Information and Library Studies, and holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford. She has recently completed an MSc in African Politics at SOAS.

Carol Hollier
Events Committee Member

Carol Hollier is Senior Information Literacy and Outreach Manager at the not-for-profit organisation IFIS Publishing, where she provides information literacy and research training and support to the international food community. She has worked in academic libraries in the United Kingdom and the United States, and holds an MLIS from Kent State University.
