SLA Europe Webinar - Solid: En ekologi av digitalt varande

SLA Europe was pleased to welcome Teodora Petkova to explore Solid, ett spännande decentraliseringsprojekt på webben under ledning av Professor Tim Berners-Lee, uppfinnaren av World Wide Web.

That’s the aim of Solid, but the project is still in its infancy.

Fast “aims to radically change the way Web applications work today, resulting in true data ownership as well as improved privacy” with the project’s main goal to allow users to have full control of their own data, inklusive åtkomstkontroll och lagringsplats.

As a philologist fascinated by how our networked lives are changing to the possibilities of the written word, Teodora showcased the impact Solid will have on our digital footprint, the concepts behind the project, its socio-technical implications, including implications for librarians and information professionals as ‘netizens’ (citizens of the internet).

We would also like to ask members to please consider making en välgörenhetsdonation till vår valda välgörenhet, Half Moon Young People's Theatre.
