SLA Europe was delighted to hold its first in-person event this week with our Spring Walk.
Our destination was Green Park and led by our excellent guide, Kirstie Shedden, we explored Mayfair and St. James through the eyes of those during the Georgian era, where pleasure and grandeur was the hallmark of the aristocracy.
During the tour, Kirstie brought to life the many characters who enjoyed the luxuries and entertainments the capital provided, including those who celebrated occasions in lavish style at prominent addresses and those who quickly fell out favour with royalty.
Our tour took us to key locations and buildings which remain London today, highlighting the architectural styles from a period brimming with double standards, scandal, and excess all within a changing cultural and economic landscape.
